Sponsorship Opportunity – Annual Leadership Workshop

Sponsorship provides support for AKA and our initiatives that serve to promote and enhance kinesiology as a unified field of study. It also allows your institution to be recognized by over 100 Kinesiology leaders who attend our annual workshop as well as professionals from across the country who will see your support in our advertisements. We hope you will consider a sponsorship level (click for sponsorship package). Also, we hope you will invite your colleagues to attend the workshop.

The 2024 workshop theme is Addressing Social Justice and Equity Imperatives:  Exemplars of Inclusive Excellence,is an important follow-up program to last year’s meeting. A hallmark of an effective unit is the strategic implementation of models, practices, and processes that support an environment of inclusive excellence. Workshop speakers are higher education leaders and program facilitators who directly impact academic environments that exemplify inclusive excellence, social justice, equity, and belonging. Presentations will highlight “real-world” exemplars, models, and administrative action steps in promoting and implementing inclusive academic units. Throughout the workshop, there will be opportunities to engage in conversations and networking with emerging and seasoned administrative leadership from institutions representing a diversity of characteristics, types, and missions. There will be engaging dialogue and networking with colleagues within our sessions and at various social events.

There are several levels of sponsorship from Bronze level at $500 up to Diamond level at $6,000 with each level providing various incentives (e.g., promotion of your unit before, during and after the workshop, and complimentary registration for members of your unit to the workshop and/or pre-workshop sessions on undergraduate and graduate education, or a table at the expo). As outlined in the attachment, you choose a sponsorship level and if you choose Gold, Platinum, or Diamond, you will also have the option to choose 1,2, or 3 sessions to go along with your sponsorship.

If you choose to sponsor a session(s), you will have the opportunity to identify three choices of sessions in the form linked below. You can note in the “special instructions” question which session is your first, second, or third choice. We will attempt to give each sponsor their first choice, but if a session you choose is not available, we will try to give you one of your alternative choices.
